BR154 - A Child's Garland of Music
Malinee Peris , Piano
Malinee Peris, prize-winner at Warsaw’s International Chopin Competition, has made several concert appearances through the world. She has played with American orchestras, including the Washington National Symphony, the Baltimore and Houston Symphony orchestras, and with orchestras in Europe, Israel and Australia. She has also performed at Avery Fisher Hall in New York’s Lincoln Center and the Filene Center of Wolf Trap, Virginia.
She was invited by the Secretary-General of the United Nations to play at the concert marking the 22nd anniversary of Human Rights Day and has appeared in solo recitals in London, Amsterdam, Brussels, Cologne and other European cities.
Ms. Peris’ work in broadcasting includes radio and television programs recorded for the BBC and ITV as well as for Germany’s radio and TV network. She has also been a frequent guest on Belgium’s BRT “Radio Three” program. Ms. Peris is currently Associate Professor of Music at the George Washington University in Washington, DC, serves on the Board of Directors of the “Dumbarton Concert Series” and reviews concerts for the Washington Post.
