Renowned for his interpretations of the music of Grieg, Mr. Steen-Nökleberg recently published the book Onstage with Grieg and is editor of the new Henle edition of the complete Grieg piano works, all of which he has recorded on the Naxos label.

“I am a relative newcomer to BriosoRecordings®... yesterday I got BR 100. This is a truly revelatory performance of the Beethoven cello sonatas... Metzmacher is to the cello what Backhaus was to the piano. Rock solid, very musical, deeply humane. I knew Steen-Nokleberg from his series of Grieg's piano works on Naxos, and he is once again in top form here. This goes right to the top, alongside Piatigorsky/ Solomon.”
